Regulations Affecting Naturopathic Medicine in Ontario
The Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy -
Naturopathy
is responsible for the Ontario public’s protection in matters
relating to Naturopathy.

The Health Systems Improvement Act includes a section entitled the
Naturopathy Act.
Although some parts of the new act came into legal force on June 4,
2007, the new Naturopathy Act is not yet law. Prior to legal
implementation, a Transition Council must be established which will
put the necessary regulations in place for final implementation of
the bill. The Ontario government has not established a timeline for
the creation of the Transition Council.
